CURRICULUM

Key features of the ACE curriculum

“The ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) curriculum is a K-12, Bible-based educational program designed for Christian schools and homeschools that uses a mastery-based learning approach. It consists of self-instructional workbooks called PACEs, where students must master a concept before moving on to the next, working at their own pace through individualized lessons. The curriculum integrates biblical principles, character-building, and Christian worldview into all subjects, including science and history.”

PACEs: The curriculum is divided into bite-sized, self-instructional workbooks called PACEs (Packets of Accelerated Christian Education), with 12 PACEs typically representing one year of work in each subject.

Mastery-based learning: Students must achieve a set score on tests and checkups to demonstrate mastery before they can proceed to the next PACE.

Individualized pace: The system is designed to allow students to progress at their own speed, spending more time on difficult areas and moving quickly through concepts they grasp easily.

Bible-based content: The curriculum is founded on a Christian worldview, with biblical principles, scripture, and character-building traits integrated into every subject. For example, science is taught from a biblical perspective of creation.

Self-instructional format: Each PACE contains all the necessary materials, including exercises and tests, and is designed for students to work through independently with minimal supervision.

Character and wisdom principles: The program includes specific goals to develop character and wisdom, with lessons often focusing on biblical traits and wisdom principles.

Minimal screen time: The curriculum emphasizes reading, writing, and scripture practice with minimal to no screen time.

Full curriculum: ACE offers a complete curriculum from early years through high school, with an official distance-learning provider to award a Grade 12 certificate.
